Joyce Jarvis, artist
Joyce was born in 1922 and started painting flowers from her first days in school and today is still working on floral, landscape and abstract art from her home in Shirebrook Derbyshire.
Joyce is inspired by the beauty of nature, particularly flowers, and loves to use exuberant colours and forms to reflect her view of the world. Much of her work today is based on memory and an expression of her love of colour and desire to communicate this to her canvases.
